New Delhi [India], June 2: Manupatra continues to lead innovation at the intersection of law and technology in India. Our close engagement with legal professionals and law students allows us to gather timely insights into legal developments and the tech tools influencing the Indian legal ecosystem.
Artificial Intelligence has rapidly entered everyday use, transforming how individuals operate in both personal and professional spheres. In the legal domain, AI-powered solutions have proven beneficial—enhancing research, aiding drafting, and improving case and contract handling. However, concerns have emerged, with legal professionals occasionally referencing AI-generated fictitious cases.
With a strong belief in AI’s potential to support legal tasks, Manupatra initiated a pioneering nationwide survey to assess the extent and nature of AI implementation across the Indian legal sector. This study gathered direct input from legal practitioners and students to highlight key gaps and pave the way for AI use that is ethical, efficient, and well-regulated. These findings aim to assist policymakers, legal institutions, and practitioners with clear strategies and best practices.
We are now releasing the full findings of our “Adoption of AI in the Indian Legal Landscape” report, based on responses from 227 individuals, including law students, advocates, corporate counsels, firm partners, academics, and members of the judiciary from across India.
